Tata Electronics Appoints KC Ang as President and Head of Foundry Business

The leader in the Indian electronics and semiconductor manufacturing industry, Tata Electronics Private Limited, has appointed KC Ang as the President and Head of its Foundry business, Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing Private Limited. Ang will be reporting to Dr. Randhir Thakur, CEO and Managing Director of Tata Electronics. In this position, KC will head Tata Electronics' cutting-edge AI-powered foundry operations, driving excellence and innovation while forging strategic alliances to make Tata Semiconductor Manufacturing a world leader in chip manufacturing.


With more than three decades of experience in the foundry business, KC is an expert in fab start-ups, management, operations, and technology transfer, and customer, supplier, and industry relationship management. KC has worked in Malaysia, Germany, the United States, and China during his international career. Recently, he was President - Asia and Chairman - China at Global Foundries, a worldwide leader in semiconductor manufacturing, where he served for more than fifteen years.
KC graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from National Taiwan University and a Master's degree in Engineering from the University of Texas.
