TACC Ltd, a subsidiary fully owned by HEG Ltd, has partnered with Ceylon Graphene Technologies (CGT) from Sri Lanka to establish an advanced graphene production unit at TACC’s site in India. CGT is a partnership formed by LOLC Advanced Technologies and the Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology.

This effort stems from a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) established between TACC and CGT to promote graphene technology and investigate its various applications, as stated in a regulatory filing by HEG Ltd, which is part of the LNJ Bhilwara Group. HEG is a leading producer of graphite electrodes.

The new manufacturing facility will concentrate on large-scale production of graphene, addressing worldwide needs for sustainable and innovative solutions. Although the investment specifics were not revealed, the regulatory document highlighted the partnership's goal of merging Sri Lanka's top-quality vein graphite with TACC's proficiency in synthetic graphite to develop superior graphene materials. Renowned for its unmatched strength, conductivity, and lightweight characteristics, graphene is set to transform industries such as electronics, energy storage, coatings, construction, textiles, and beyond.

TACC Ltd, a fully-owned subsidiary of HEG Ltd and a member of the LNJ Bhilwara Group, concentrates on advanced materials and innovative solutions, especially in graphite and its derivatives. Utilizing its knowledge in synthetic graphite, TACC is key in promoting research, development, and production of advanced materials for various industries.
