Rockwell To Set up New Manufacturing Unit in Chennai
Rockwell Automation, a US-based industrial automation firm, plans to open another manufacturing unit in Chennai, India. The office in Chennai is supposed to open in the central portion of 2025 and will employ around 230 specialists before the year is over.
Rockwell said in a statement that the 98,000-square-foot facility, which has room for expansion, will help the company build a supply chain that is more resilient, agile, and sustainable in the Asia-Pacific region and around the world.
"Tamil Nadu continues to attract significant global investments, showcasing our robust manufacturing capabilities. The new Rockwell facility, located in Oragadam, will enhance the region’s manufacturing ecosystem even more," said state industries minister TRB Rajaa.
India has the fifth-largest and fastest-growing economy in the world. It said that the country's monetary strategies will continue to fundamentally affect the worldwide economy, especially in the space of exchange, venture, and advancement. The company is putting resources into India by extending its assembling presence and building another manufacturing plant in Chennai. The office will be situated in a modern park similar to Rockwell's CUBIC assembling office to assist with boosting store network strength and set out extra professional open doors for workers.
“We selected this location because we can create synergies with our existing CUBIC facility and increase agility and productivity in the region,” said Dilip Sawhney, Managing Director - India, Rockwell Automation. “We’re excited about building our presence in India, optimising our manufacturing on a global scale, and enhancing the future of industrial operations in this growing market.”
"This is just the beginning of a stream of new AdvTech investments Tamil Nadu is going to witness in the advanced manufacturing sector in the coming years," Rajaa added.
