
Reliance Secures Nod To Set up Manufacturing unit For ACC Battery Storage
The government announced that Reliance Industries Limited has received permission to establish a battery production facility with a capacity of up to 10 GW under the Rs 3,620 crore-Production Linked Incentives (PLI) scheme for ACC Battery Storage.
Seven bidders submitted proposals to the Ministry of Heavy Industries for the Production Linked Incentives (PLI) scheme for 10 GWh Advanced Chemistry Cell (ACC) manufacturing, with a budget of up to Rs 3,620 crore, which was declared on January 24, 2024.
ACME Cleantech Solutions Private Limited, Amara Raja Advanced Cell Technologies Private Limited, Anvi Power Industries Private Limited, JSW Neo Energy Limited, Lucas TVS Limited, Reliance Industries Limited, and Waaree Energies Limited all submitted bids for a total capacity of 70 GWh in response to this tender.
All seven proposals were reviewed, and six firms were selected for financial assessment in accordance with the guidelines of the RFP.
“Reliance Industries Limited has been awarded 10 GWh ACC capacity under Production Linked Incentive (PLI) scheme based on QCBS mechanism,” an official statement said.
The financial offers from eligible bidders were revealed on August 2, 2024, following the release of the technical evaluation results, as part of the open global tender process of RFP through the government's CPP portal.
“Final evaluation of the shortlisted bidders was carried out as per quality & cost-based selection (QCBS) mechanism and the bidders were ranked based on their combined technical and financial scores.
