GX Group, a fibre-to-the-home or FTTH equipment manufacturer, plans to establish a new manufacturing facility in the country with an initial investment of Rs 100 crore in order to sell products globally, in keeping with the Centre's Atmanirbhar Bharat (self-reliant India) objective.

"We are looking at a new manufacturing facility this financial year to export products, and spending about Rs 100-crore for land or building, and machineries," Paritosh Prajapati, chief executive officer, GX Group told ETTelecom.

This will be the company's second manufacturing facility in the country. As part of the Dutch Good Growth Fund (DGGF) project, it established a plant in Manesar, Haryana, in 2021 for almost Rs 125 crore.

The senior executive went on to say that the company is closely assessing alternatives in states like Gujarat, Tamil Nadu, and Uttar Pradesh based on ecosystem maturity and incentive availability.

The company stated that it would manufacture flagship connectivity goods such as Wi-Fi routers, access points, Gigabit Passive Optical Network (GPON), and XGS PON, as well as rework its export strategy.

"This will not only be for the Indian market but for the global market including Europe. We want to have completely made in India products, and along with that, we are entering the African market." Prajapati said.
