Gopalan Enterprises Introduces Copper Manufacturing Unit in Hoskote

Gopalan Enterprises, a real estate developer, has entered the manufacturing industry with the establishment of Gopalan Metals (India) Private Ltd, a cutting-edge copper manufacturing plant in the Hoskote industrial region. This new initiative demonstrates the company's dedication to diversity and innovation.

The factory has an excellent yearly production capacity of 6,000 metric tons, making it a key participant in the copper manufacturing business. Gopalan Metals intends to achieve 3,000 metric tons of capacity utilization in fiscal year 2025, generating ₹270 crore in revenue from domestic and foreign markets.

C Prabhakar, Director of Gopalan Enterprises, emphasized the growing importance of copper in modern industries. “India’s copper consumption stands at 1.5 million tons annually and is expected to exceed 2 million tons by 2030. The demand for copper products has surged due to advancements in new-age technology, electrification of transport systems, and the push for renewable energy. Copper is 100 percent recyclable, making it a crucial component for renewable energy technologies. The market demand is bound to continue to surge,” he stated.

Gopalan Metals will manufacture copper rods, flats, and wires for a wide range of industries, including cable, transformer, vehicle, electronics, solar energy, and railways. By the end of 2024, the facility will also begin manufacture of domestic cables.
