Gujarat-based solar module manufacturer, Goldi Solar intends to increase its capacity to 14 gigawatts by mid-FY26, which is more than four times their current capacity of 3 GW, added by Ishver Dholakiya, the managing director and founder.

Dholakiya stated that as part of its plan to strengthen India's solar infrastructure and decrease imports, the company aims to establish a cell manufacturing capacity of 4 GW by FY27. Additionally, the company plans to recruit 4,000 employees to assist with the expansion.

He stated that the growth will speed up enhancements in the company's manufacturing methods, improve production efficiency, and open up new market chances in North, East, and South India.

“Our goal is to drive solar technology forward while empowering industries and communities to adopt sustainable solutions that will shape the energy landscape for generations. This expansion allows us to strengthen our commitment to excellence, attract top talent, and accelerate India’s energy independence, aligning with the global movement toward a greener future,” said Dholakiya.

Goldi Solar presently runs a sophisticated manufacturing facility in both Pipodara and Navsari, Gujarat, with a total capacity of 3 GW. An increase in the module capacity is suggested for the new facility in Kosamba, Gujarat.
