Garuda Aerospace To fund Rs 100 Crore to Build 'Drone City' in Andhra Pradesh
Drone maker Garuda Aerospace declared a Rs 100 crore investment aimed at creating a 'Drone City' in Andhra Pradesh. The city that is set to arise in Orvakal village of Kurnool district in Andhra Pradesh will act as a center for drone innovation, promoting research, drawing in skilled professionals, and advancing India to a leading position in drone technology, Garuda Aerospace stated.
The declaration was made in a strategic meeting with Minister of Civil Aviation, Rama Mohan Naidu Ji. It noted that during this gathering, Garuda Aerospace's founder and CEO Agnishwar Jayaprakash talked about the company's alignment with 'Viksit Bharat Sankalp Yatra', highlighting its importance for national development and its ongoing efforts towards the 'Namo Drone Didi' initiative, which empowers rural women using drone technology.
The discussion also highlighted Garuda Aerospace's swift growth throughout India and international markets, showcasing the firm's dedication to establishing India as a worldwide drone center, it stated.
"We envision the Drone City as a hub for drone innovation, fostering cutting-edge research, attracting top talent, and propelling India to the forefront of drone technology. This investment aligns perfectly with our vision of expanding our global footprint, pursuing an IPO, and continuing to develop innovative drone solutions that address critical societal challenges," said Jayaprakash.
