DPIIT Partners with ITC to Support Startups in Manufacturing industry
The Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) announced that it has formed a strategic alliance with ITC Ltd to support startups in the manufacturing industry. "Under this partnership, ITC is looking to deploy startup solutions in key areas such as digital platforms for Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES), integrating renewable energy opportunities for manufacturing locations, and energy storage systems," the department said.
It stated that a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) has been signed, establishing a partnership in which ITC's knowledge and vast market network will enhance DPIIT's efforts to assist startups nationwide.
DPIIT Joint Secretary Sanjiv said, "We look forward to fostering scalable solutions and transformative growth to ensure a conducive environment for startups."
Sumeet Kumar Jarangal, Director of Startup India, stated that this initiative will facilitate seamless market access for startups, allowing them to explore diverse opportunities for developing effective solutions tailored to the organization's business needs through ITC's vast network and considerable expertise.
Anil Rajput, President of ITC Corporate Affairs, mentioned that the MoU will emphasize digital capabilities to enhance future readiness and operational excellence in manufacturing, and also in renewable energy to bolster ITC's sustainability efforts.
