
Dixon Technologies Ink pact with Nokia For Manufacturing of Telecom Products
Dixon Electro Appliances Pvt Ltd., a Dixon Technologies subsidiary, has signed a deal with Nokia — Nokia Solutions and Networks OY — to develop and manufacture telecom equipment.
"Nokia Solutions and Networks OY is a developer and supplier of sophisticated communications equipment and terminals, accessories and connectivity solutions," Dixon Technologies said in a statement.
The manufacture will take place at the firm's manufacturing plant in Noida, Uttar Pradesh. Dixon Technologies (India) Ltd.'s shares fell 0.94% to ₹8,335 on the NSE. Thus far in 2024, the stock has increased by approximately 30%.
"We are ecstatic to announce that we have partnered with an iconic brand 'Nokia' for undertaking development and manufacturing of telecom products. This association will give a strong impetus to India's manufacturing competitiveness," said Atul B Lall, Vice Chairman and Managing Director at Dixon Technologies.
"There is tremendous scope and potential in the telecom product's market and it's gratifying that Nokia has partnered with Dixon for its Telecom products segment," Lall said.
Nokia Corporation is a multinational company founded in 1865 focused on consumer electronics, information technology, and telecommunications in Finland. Although the company's true roots are in the Tampere district of Pirkanmaa, Nokia's primary offices are located in Espoo, Finland, which is part of the Helsinki metropolitan area.
