Biesse India Powers Global Markets with 75% Export of Locally Made Machinery

Biesse India exports 75% of its locally produced machinery. Ahmed noted the minimal per capita furniture consumption in India, emphasizing the country's potential for growth in furniture manufacturing. To match Vietnam's furniture consumption levels, the Indian middle class would need a 16-fold increase. He expects the industry to quadruple in size by 2030.

In order to satisfy the increasing need, the company intends to allocate more than ₹200 crore towards constructing a new factory that will have higher production capacity. Biesse India, a company recognized for its CNC woodworking and stone and glass machining machinery, disclosed a revenue of ₹450 crore in FY24 along with a 10% EBIT. In the last five years, it has maintained a CAGR of 10%. Featherlite Office Systems, Wakefit, Wurfel Kitchens, Merino Industries, Greenlam Industries, Monarch Office Systems, and Stanley are some of its valued clients.

Biesse India, the Indian branch of Biesse Group from Italy, is a top producer of innovative equipment used in woodworking, glass, and stone processing. Based in Bengaluru, the company runs two advanced manufacturing plants in Nelamangala, serving both local and overseas markets, with 75% of its output shipped worldwide.

Biesse India, a leading manufacturer of advanced machinery for companies such as IKEA, Nilkamal Industries, and Godrej Interio, aims to reach 80% local production in the next two years. Currently, 68% of the products are produced within the country.
