Avaada intends to introduce a project that converts wafers into modules with a total capacity of 5 GW for solar cells and 3 GW for modules. It was stated that these cells would assist the company's current Dadri Module Plant, using TOPCon Cell Technology to make high-efficiency cells and modules. The project is anticipated to generate more than 5,000 new job opportunities in different positions.

In addition, Avaada is dedicated to collaborating with local ITIs (Industrial Training Institutes) to aid in skill enhancement for operators and technicians, guaranteeing a continuous supply of skilled individuals. Avaada Group announced the start of construction on its factory at the Additional Butibori Industrial Park in Nagpur, as a part of its Rs 13,650 crore investment strategy. Devendra Fadnavis, the deputy chief minister of Maharashtra, inaugurated the project by laying the foundation stone.

The center will concentrate on the complete solar value chain, spanning from ingot-wafer to PV cell and module manufacturing. It will also create advanced batteries and electrolysis devices. Avaada plans to enhance local supply chains by setting up additional facilities for producing module glass and frames, guaranteeing the prompt delivery of top-notch PV modules, the group announced.

Avaada also intends to set up auxiliary facilities that will create around 1,000 employment opportunities. These units, which are dedicated to producing glass, aluminum frames, junction boxes, and other components, will help the company in developing a robust domestic supply chain.

Vineet Mittal, chairman of Avaada Group, said, “This project is a crucial milestone in Avaada’s journey towards driving India’s clean energy goals. Through strategic partnerships, local job creation, and advanced technologies, we are committed to shaping India’s renewable energy landscape, creating this ecosystem, while contributing to the country’s broader economic and environmental objectives.”
