Atlas Copco Unveils Advanced Manufacturing Hub in Pune

Atlas Copco Group has inaugurated a manufacturing facility in Talegaon Pune. The new plant, which covers over 270,000 square feet, will produce air and gas compressors and systems. These include CNG (compressed natural gas), biogas and hydrogen compressors. Also under their umbrella are air dryers, nitrogen N2, oxygen O2 generators, medical filters and related accessories. The plan to open this plant which was communicated in 2023 shows the Group's determination to provide innovative solutions and quality products that are customised for the local market.

The factory is designed on the principles of Industry 4.0 and is equipped with smart manufacturing technologies and sustainability features. About 80 percent of the energy used for the plant's operations will come from a 1.3 MW rooftop solar plant and the grid supply. It also has rainwater harvesting to conserve water and cooling systems that contribute to energy efficiency.

 Atlas Copco Group supports the R&D at the facility by equipping it with multiple testing capabilities to address current and future requirements for production and product development. The company does certification to ISO 9001, ISO 45001, ISO 14001 and ISO 50001, that is, the company has recognition and authority to operate those iso standards.
