Apollo Tyres Appoints Rajeev Kumar Sinha as Chief Manufacturing Officer

Apollo Tyres on Wednesday announced the selection of Rajeev Kumar Sinha as the company's new Chief Manufacturing Officer. He will head the global manufacturing organization with a brief that includes strategy and planning, performance optimization, plant operations, and integrated manufacturing services (IMS), among other major responsibilities.

Neeraj Kanwar, Managing Director and Vice Chairman, Apollo Tyres, stated, "Rajeev is a global manufacturing leader with more than 35 years of rich operating and supply chain experience across various industries like chemical, FMCG, Food & Beverages, and pharmaceuticals. He will not only be instrumental in our growth story but also in sustaining our cost competitiveness. He will be a key member of the global executive committee."

Rajeev is coming to Apollo Tyres from Cipla, where he was the Global Chief Manufacturing Officer and also its management council member, besides being a non-executive director in some select group companies.

Rajeev has contributed immensely towards enhancing operations excellence across the globe through network optimization, inculcating lean six sigma culture in manufacturing operations, and emphasizing manufacturing science and technology to improve product and process robustness, technical capability, and complex investigations capability.

Rajeev has also served as Executive VP and Global Head of Formulation Operations, and Executive VP and Global Head of Manufacturing Formulations at Glen mark. He has worked at PepsiCo in roles such as Senior Director of Supply Chain Operations, Director of Operations for Productivity and Performance, and Director of Operations for the North Market Unit.

Rajeev will be stationed at the corporate office of Apollo Tyres in Gurugram, India, and will report to Neeraj Kanwar, Vice Chairman and MD.
