Nasscom & KITS to Drive Innovation in Karnataka’s Tech Sector

Nasscom has partnered with Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society for fostering innovation & intellectual property growth within the state’s technology sector.

Karnataka Innovation and Technology Society is the implementing agency for the Department of Electronics, Information Technology, Biotechnology and Science & Technology, Government of Karnataka.

The MoU will focus on establishing an IP enablement program for promoting innovation as well as increasing patent filings via structured mentorship & support. Technical support, workshops, IP mentorships as well as capacity building initiatives will be available to educational institutes.

"The nasscom IP Enablement Program, a key component of this MoU, will provide structured mentorship and resources to Karnataka's IT industry, with a special focus on startups and SMEs, to strengthen their IP management and innovation capabilities. This initiative aims to accelerate patent filings and drive technological advancement across the state," it said.
